Love this whole concept and execution: badges and all. Shared it with my own family just as an example. Thank you!

For some reason, now I imagine Allen at the dinner table yelling, "ALLEN DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!!!"

Wonder why that could be? 😏

This sounds like a lot of fun, especially what I am dubbing "Amblin Monday." I wish I could follow along with y'all, but thankfully I still have a job.

Enjoy! I can't wait to read about it all!

Also, I am predicting that Rushmore will be the hit of the Festival, and you will soon need to show them the entirety of Wes Anderson's filmography if they haven't seen it already.

MOONRISE was a big hit a couple of weeks ago. I think the Wes Anderson train is leaving the station.

Man... you should film their first viewing of The Royal Tenenbaums. Pure magic.

This is so awesome. I think I'm overdue for a Contact revisit.

Wife and I had our own festival these last two days. A domino effect kind of thing where one movie has to feed into the other via cast or crew and we alternate picking. She picked from her favorites and I picked new-to-me stuff, save one film.

Saturday's Lineup:

Her: Greatest Showman

Me: Venom

Her: Marie Antoinette

Me: Dick

Her: Zoolander

Sunday's Lineup

Me: The Blackcoat's Daughter

Her: Ballet Shoes

Me: Withnail and I (long overdue revisit, and man it's so wonderful)

Her: Jackie

Can't wait to hear how everyone responds to your festival. Cheers and have fun :)

I hate to ask, but: are you screening the theatrical cuts of the LOTR movies or the extended ones? I’m still doing my “watch 1 movie from each of the past 100 years” project and I’m in the mid-80s. Watched Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure with the kids and then watched Blue Velvet without the kids. Raising Arizona tonight.
