I did a quick dig through a hard drive and I actually have what I think is all 45 episodes of the Motion/Captured Podcast saved. I still think you could do an entire podcast based around Movie God/Remake This.

With 2 episodes to wrap things up I would be disappointed if there just will be a “to be continued“ situation on WandaVision. It feels like it right now.

Accidentally hit “post” on my last comment and I can’t edit my it but I was going to say:

I think the biggest missed opportunity right now is HBO/Warner Bros not making a live action, big budget Batman TV Series. Let’s be honest. There are certain villains we are never going to see on film for Batman. And a movie is so limiting. We won’t see cool experimental stories for Batman on film. A TV series can really delve into the mythos like “Batman The Animated Series” did. Imagine getting a live action version of Batman The Animated Series every week? The possibilities are endless. Again, done right with a big budget? It’s why I’ve never understood why they’ll make shows like “Gotham” or the upcoming “Gotham PD” when most people want to see Batman appear! You could do 10-12 episodes per season. Have a season long arc with stand alone episodes thrown in and then sprinkle in a series long arc here & there.

With Batman films, we have to wait 2-3 years between sequels and see the same characters adapted over & over. Then after making a trilogy they wait 5 years and recast the part. Recycle, repeat. I’d love to see a a live action TV version of the DCAU. (And no the Arrowverse doesn’t count. Not for me anyways. Those shows just don’t do it for me).

It’s such a no brainer. Let Bruce Timm, Paul Dini & Alan Burnett run the show. Or me.

Are you doing some kind of immersion therapy with those bear movies?

We just started Kid Cosmic and 3 eps in it's wonderful. It's from Craig McCracken, who has always had a sense of the kid-like view and how to tell stories with it (his older creations include The Powerpuff Girls and Wander Over Yonder).

Watched ‘Nomadland’ with the whole family last night, and it was a great conversation starter with the kids. My 14-year-old, used to endings that wrap much more cleanly and clearly, immediately said, “But what happened?” My wife answered her, “It’s still happening.”

Howdy Drew. Thanks for you insight over the years, and I can't wait till you start a new podcast. I've followed you from way back, and began watching The Movie Trivia Schmoedown because of your time there. I got hooked on it, and it's been a bright spot in my life over this past year of shit. I was really bummed when you left, but totally understood because I felt the team up wit Andrew Ghai was totally wrong for you. I like Ghai, but his character work has always been the spotlight over his actual game play, and I wanted to see you win. I also felt you were slighted by Sam, so wondered what he brought to the table to bring you back in. Of course that could all be the theatrics of The Schmoedown.

I hope you have found a better partner this year (hoping it's you and Ethan, as that combo seemed deadly). Can you talk a little more about what drew you back in, and what you are hoping for this year? Will we see you on Backstage or other shows soon? What did you think of the season opener last night? Great performances all around.

Thanks for all you do, and for all of the great recommendations over the years. Bring on the new podcast and the resurrection of Movie God!

I was reminded of sound of metal as I was watching nomad land of two people discovering how alone they were and yet finding others in the process.

I also saw the super girl post felt the same Joy that you describe for such a simple but wonderful moment.

Oh and Drew, quick question: What did you think of the Snyder Cut trailer? Personally I really dug it. Though why he chose a 4x3 1.33:1 aspect ratio just makes zero sense given this is not getting a theatrical release. I was annoyed enough back in 2016 when I found out the film was going to be 1.85:1 AR & not the gorgeous 2.35:1 of the previous films. But 1.33:1? Ugh...

I’m wondering if they cast Supergirl because the Henry Cavill situation is still a bit muddled or if this was always the plan?

It will be interesting to see Warner Bros reaction if the Snyder Cut is positively received. Snyder makes it clear in interviews his JL sets up sequels. But I just don’t see it happening. They’ve moved on from Ray Fisher. Affleck stepped aside from Batman & that’s how we got Robert Pattinson, but then he’s now coming back to the role twice, the JL reshoot & The Flash movie. Warner Bros & Henry Cavill seems to be at an impasse on more of his Superman appearing anytime soon. Then there’s the cost. If another Snyder Verse Justice League movie does get made, it won’t be theatrical. And I can’t see HBO Max shelling out 250 million dollars for a movie. Maybe a series? I just don’t see it happening. Then again, I never thought we’d see a 4 Hour R Rated Justice League movie.

The next big comic book movie fad after the “multiverse” will be multiple actors playing the same character. Will audiences accept two different Batman franchises with different actors & story lines? I think so. A) it works in comic books. B)People accept TV versions & film versions.

I listened to every Motion/Captured podcast, looked forward to it so much. You two had such a fun energy together. My favourite memories of it are the times when Rebecca would just sneak out some throwaway little comment that was so out there it would make you just crack up and howl. Good times.

The Steel Remains is an interesting one. I hear the next books are good but I haven't read past that first one yet.
